imsuThe 2009/ 2010 Primary Admission List of , has been released and uploaded in the internet. Candidates who participated in the Post UME Screening Exercise can now access their admission status.

They are to use the scratch card with which they checked their Post UME scores for this purpose. In the event of loss of scratch, the candidate is advised to purchase another one from the University Library.
- Successful candidates are requested to follow the instructions provided, complete the acceptance form online and present themselves to the Admissions Unit of the University for clearance with effect from the 8th of January, 2010
with the following materials:
i Original and photocopies of 2009/ 2010 JAMB Result Slip
ii Original and photocopies of 2009/ 2010 Post-UME result
iii Original and photocopies of O/L Certificates/ Statements of result
iv Recent passport photographs
Successful candidates who do not present themselves for clearance on or before 22nd January 2010 should consider

- Return to the website and log in your Jamb Registration number and Scratch card PIN against the fields provided
- Type your Jamb Reg no. leaving no white spaces. Any mistake you make in typing your Jamb Reg No. will render your scratch card invalid and could lead to “No Value” in your result notification slip
Click “Check Result” to have the status of your result and admission status displayed.

- One scratch card can be used per one Jamb registration no. for unlimited no. of times to view/ print result/ admission status
- Candidates should enter PIN Nos correctly. Attempts to guess PIN Nos or use fake PINs will result to the candidate Reg. no. being barred PERMANENTLY from accessing the site. Candidates with barred reg. nos will NOT be attended to and will automatically forfeit accessing their result and subsequent admission.

2009/2010 Post-JAMB-MPCE Screening Exercise

(A) ELIGIBLE CANDIDATES

All candidates who chose Lagos state polytechnic as their institution of First or Second Choice, and scored 120 and above in the 2009/2010 MPCE.

(B) GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

(i) JAMB/MPCE Result Notification Slip must be presented at the screening centres.

(ii) GSM, Calculators and other electronic devices are not allowed.

(iii) Parents, Guardians and other unauthorized personnel within and outside the Polytechnic will not be allowed at the screening centres during the Post- MPCE Screening Exercise.

(C) PROCEDURE FOR POST MPCE SCREENING EXERCISE

1. Candidates are expected to make a payment of N 2,000.00 (Two Thousand Naira) to eTranzact or by using ATM/Cash Card at any bank.

2. Upon making full payment, candidates are given a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for purchase of post MPCE form on-line.

3. Candidates are advised to visit the new Lagos State polytechnic website i.e www.laspotech.net and follow the steps below to make payment on-line and print out the screening slip.

(i) Click on the “2009/2010 Admission” link at the left hand corner.

(ii) Click on “proceed to Application form”

(iii) Click on “start new Application”

(iv) Select type of Programme i.e Post-MPCE

(v) Thereafter, complete the “Basic Data Form”, Ensure that all items marked (*) are completed

(vi) Next, click on “continue”

(vii) Select the means of payment applicable i.e eTranzact or interswitch

MOBIL NIGERIA SCHOLARSHIPS 2009/2010
Since 1998, the NNPC/MPN joint venture has made provision to award 500 scholarships annually.
# About 60% of those are for core disciplines in Engineering and Geosciences, and the rest are for other professional courses.
# Fifty percent of MPN’s Scholarship Awards go to indigenes of the operational communities and the rest of Akwa Ibom State ( 75 goes to the operational communities while 175 to goes the other communities in the state), twelve percent to Bonny and the rest of Rivers State (50 goes to Bonny and 10 to the other communities in the state), ten percent (50) of the awards is given to the best candidates and twenty eight percent of the total awards (140) goes to other states including FCT based on merit and fair geographical spread.

As part of its support to educational development and human capacity building, Mobil Producing Nigeria, operator of NNPC/MPN Joint Venture awards annual scholarships to qualified students in Nigerian Universities.

Applications for NNPC/MPN Undergraduate National Scholarship Awards are based on the following criteria:

Awards will be made to qualified and suitable students from every state of the Federation including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

3. Students who are currently on similar scholarship awards from other need not apply.
4. Dependants of employees of Mobil Producing Nigeria, Mobil Oil Nigeria plc and Esso Exploration and Production Nigeria Limited are not eligible for this scholarship.
