Lagos — The United States government has removed Nigeria from the list of terrorist nations. The minister for foreign affairs Odein Ajumogobia made this known to newsmen after this Wednesday’s Federal Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
Ajumogobia said the delisting of Nigeria from the terror watch-list is as a result of the success of the recent visit of Acting President Goodluck Jonathan to Washington, where he had time to chat with U.S. President Barack Obama.
Jonathan was in Washington for a four-day trip where he partook with 47 other leaders in the Nuclear Security Summit organised by Obama.
