UNIVERSITY OF PORT HARCOURT, CHOBA NIGERIA: 2009/2010 POST-UME SCREENING EXERCISE
University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) Post-UME screening exercise is now re-scheduled as follows:
Day of exercise Time Faculties
Monday, September 21, 2009 8am Social Sciences/Education
1 pm Science
Tuesday, September 22, 2009 8am Pharmacy/Nursing/Agriculture/Humanities
1 pm Medicine/Anatomy/Physiology/Dentistry
Wed., September 23, 2009 8 am Management Sciences
1 pm Engineering
Candidates are advised to refer to the Punch newspaper of 22nd June, 2009 and the Guardian Newspaper of 23rd June 2009
CANDIDATES FOR THE UNIPORT POST UME ARE REQUIRED TO COME WITH THE FOLLOWING:
* A clear copy of Photo-card printed online
* Original and Photocopy of JAMB result notification slip
* HB pencil, Biro pen, and eraser
NOTE
* Candidates for the uniport post ume screening who did not complete the registration, that is, did not upload and print photo cards, should visit the web site; www.uniport.edu.ng
and print a card showing their venues, seat numbers and other details. In addition, they should come with two recent passport photographs.
* Mobile phones, walkman, ipod and similar gadgets are not allowed into the screening venue, and will be confiscated if found on candidates.
* Candidates are strongly advised to identify their post ume screening venues prior to the date to their screening as lateness to venues will not be tolerated.
* Candidates for the uniport post ume must report to the screening venues by 8 am or 1 pm respectively. Failure to comply with this instruction would lead to disqualification of candidates from the screening exercise.
* Parents and guardians as well as uninvited security agencies will not be allowed into the campus on the days of the screening exercise.

It`s so sad that some universities are still talking about this post UME stuff without biting their teeth. They should try as much as possible to focus on the future of these students and not on what they could gain from it.
