The much awaited WASSCE 2009 results have been released by the West African Examination Council (WAEC).
This year’s May/June WAEC nigeria results which would soon be accessible via WAEC’s result checker on WAEC’s website www.Waecdirect.org saw an increase in performance despite an overall poor performance with 25.99 percent obtaining a credit pass in Mathematics and English compared to 23.5 in 2008.
WAEC Nigeria also witnessed a higher registration rate with a total of 1,373,009 candidates sitting for the WAEC examination in Nigeria.
In a statement released by a WAEC nigeria official, the results of 1,265,090 candidates representing 92.14 per cent of the total candidates who sat for WAEC nigeria examination, while the others have a few of their subjects still being processed.
The WAEC nigeria results would soon be available to students who will then be able to obtain it from their principals or from WAEC nigeria’s website.
