The College maintains robust and effective quality assurance mechanisms for all its programmes. Part-time students get specially designed programmes of study, which is at par with the full-time courses.
Brief History
The College was first called “Yaba College of Technology” through Decree 23 in 1969 and again, Decree 33 of 1979 re-named it “Federal Polytechnic Yaba”. However, as a result of persistent pressure mounted on Government, in 1980, Government agreed to spare the original name of the College and it reverted to its old name of “Yaba College of Technology”
The main objectives of the College, according to the decree establishing it, is to provide full time and part-time courses of instruction and training in Technology, Commerce and Management, and in such other field of Applied learning relevant to the need of the development of Nigeria in the areas of industrial and Agricultural production and distribution and for research in the development and adaptation of techniques as the Council of the College may from time to time determine.
In Pursuit of this objectives, the College has continued to develop structurally, humanly and materially and Today is made up of nine(9) academic units called Schools, headed by Deans and Thirty-four(34) Departments headed by Heads of Departments.

i wrote the last an exam in yaba tech and have not seen the result do i need to come to school to check about it the last post screening that is held in the school for mass com and agric tech

Plesae sir, i am willingly to know the cut off mark and the day of the post utme sir. I did jamb and i score 252 and my first choice for polytechnic is yaba tech because i love the school.
I wrote the last UTME exams Yaba college of technology is my polytechnic of choice. when is the post utme exams if there is any and when is admission for the academic year stating.

my name is Rita Solomon, i attended Auchi polytechnic in Edo state where i got an ND in accountancy in the year 2009.
i will like to to run HND in Yaba college of Technology, but i don’t know how to go about it. more so, will it be possible for me to switch department? i mean from accountancy to business administration or mass communication.

My son choose Yabatech as his first choice last year with 214 as his cut off mark, but he has 183 as his cut off mark this year. Want to know your cut off mark this year and also need to know when your post ume exam will come up.
